Myths about architects
There are a lot of myths out there about architects. Perhaps you're not sure what an architect does or why you should use their services. Over the next six days I’ll share some myths about architects and the reality behind the myth!
Myth #4: I have a builder/contractor, that’s all I need.
Architects act as head of a team of specialists including engineers, landscape architects, contractors, etc. Our first obligation is to look out for our clients best interests. The architect is the one building professional who has both the training and experience to allow him to guide clients through the entire building process. We help clients to tender for construction based on drawings and construction documents that outline exactly what to build and to what specifications. We then provide the building contractor with those same details. Site visits to follow the building work then ensure the work progresses accordingly, making sure the client gets what they want.
