The house is part of a 1930 development with beautiful masonry exterior work and generous rooms with traditional and elegant interiors. Located on Serpentine Avenue, Ballsbridge, the house was extended in recent years by the previous owner; however, the house was missing a family open plan kitchen room. The client brief was to create a large open plan kitchen space with a warm feel and comfortable living.

The new design will remedy the deficiencies of the existing layout with a large orangery and a central lantern skylight with plenty of light that flow into the kitchen, connecting the existing extension and the new living space.

The large patio doors and windows have been carefully designed to connect with the rear garden, interconnecting the rear patio space with the new internal kitchen and living space.
