Here, the brief was to design a new house that looked like ‘an old country home that had always been there’. Brick and stone have been sourced from an existing building and once we saw these materials, we were able to develop a suitable design, again working with the building orientation and site positioning, to make the most of light and natural surroundings.

The result was this large country house comprising six bedrooms, seven bathrooms and ample living space, with mountain views at both front and back. Thick walls follow Passive House principles, for a sustainable and eco-friendly carbon footprint.
